Do you have a positive attitude?

“I am so thankful to be alive.” Maxine

Maxine continues her story and shares with the workforce circle her trip home from work earlier that day. Because of weather conditions, her friend’s car slipped in the ice, spinning in circles. Luckily, she escaped unharmed, arriving home 4.5 hours after getting off work at 4am.

Last night, the workforce circle gathered for the first time at Montgomery Works. We shared our struggles, stories of overcoming the winter weather from the previous week. These personal stories highlighted the positive attitudes necessary to wipe out the negative voices.

Whether Melmoth is offering a car ride to Maxine, or Lyn suggesting job leads during support action time, we’re recognizing the value of building deeper relationships to build our network, develop our confidence, and reach our goals, especially in the midst of difficult challenges.

By the end of the night, we recognized our shared struggles and shared opportunities. Over the next few months, join us as we put on positive attitudes and create personal action steps to reach our workforce goals!
