Neighbors Impact the Whole Foods Market.

Wednesday was a great day for two of our neighbors at Impact, Alicia and Martha participated at the first Whole Foods Market cooking contest, four teams were gathered to cook for 30 minutes a special dish to be judged by two nationwide celebrity cooks that day.
A huge crowd of over 40 people gathered to cheer their teams, we had our Impact staff cheering for Alicia and Martha. Whole Foods provided all the ingredients including vegetables, oil, beans, onions and the secret ingredient sword fish to make the contest more interesting. Our Impact team used teamwork and support to create their delicious dish and received complements and applause from the judges and the crowd.
It only took 15 minutes for Alicia and Martha to make this wonderful and delicious dish, they did not get first place but we all had a great time participating with other neighbors and the community.
The food only had to be for three judges but at the end there was enough for the Impact staff and some other neighbors present at the contest, this demonstrates that Alicia and Martha value the concept of community and what it takes to be true neighbor.
Bon appetit to the community!
