Ethiopian Dancing at Spirit of Silver Spring

Posted by Alix Nunan on June 14, 2010

Check out this clip of the traditional Ethiopian Band/Dancers that performed at Spirit of Silver Spring!  This was the last number they performed.  A traditional Ethiopian group had never performed at Downtown Silver Spring and drew a huge crowd–visible about a minute into the video.  Anyone you see in a Neighbors Campaign t-shirt is a staff or network member volunteer!  If you look closely, you can spot Rosa from Tuesdays Together waving to our camerawoman.  As a special bonus, County Council President Nancy Floreen dances as she leaves the stage to make way for the Ethiopian band.

To find out more about Spirit of Silver Spring went, you can read my post from Tuesdays Together and see pictures on our Facebook page.
