Property managers go beyond and do more…

Posted by soriasoria on May 6, 2010

This April 29 we had our Property Managers’ Luncheon.  We had twelve participants between resources partners and property managers from the greater Silver Spring area.  Job resources were once again the main topic of this event.

A personal check in is the way IMPACT starts all of its meetings and once again we demonstrated it works to help us know each other a little bit more. Everyone answered the question: “what did you dream about being while you were a kid?” It was very interesting to find out that some of us are still dreaming what to be as they grow up.

What did you dream to be when you grew up?

Hugh Bailey from Montgomery Works; Jenny Cachaya and Nhora Rosas from Catholic Charities were our resource partners and were of great help informing our property managers of the programs they have and the ways these can benefit their tenants.

Victoria from the Deauville Apartments in Takoma Park was amazed how mutual support can open paths to find resources in the community and engage tenants with their property managers. She also recognized Sebastian and promised that the next time he visits her in her office she will know who he is and is very interested in door knocking with us.

Nikki from the Manor Apartments in Aspen Hill went beyond her two minutes again and will continue talking with Luis on possible job openings and referrals to the company web page.

Mutual support worked for everyone as a result of it we will have our property managers door knocking with us.

Write down these names for door knocking: Victoria, Doug, Waqar, Ellie and William, next time we knock your door be sure that it will not be only regular neighbors but your property managers.

Thank you property managers for your time once again and for thinking with us about ways to support your tenants.
