Oh the weather outside was frightful…

Despite all the snow that had fallen the weekend before, the Gaithersburg group faithfully met for our 3rd meeting at Ay Jalisco for a holiday party! After enjoying some great Mexican food, everyone talked about how their weeks had been and Maricar and Roberto told us that they had just gotten back from the hospital due to a car accident earlier that day! Luckily they were okay, but the fact that they showed up was evidence of how important the group is to them! This attachment to the group was also made evident when Winta brought up the leadership development program, Neighbor Corps, and while many people were really excited about it, they wanted to make sure we kept having the current circle of support as well. In these tough times, this circle has been a supportive and welcoming place for residents to come together, build friendships and just share their lives with each other!

We decided to invite the LEDC  (Latino Economic Development Corporation) to come to our next meeting in the new year, so between now and then, everyone was asked to brainstorm a couple of questions that they wanted to ask about small businesses.

Until next time..Have a safe and happy New Year!!
