Supporting one another in a time of crisis

Sharing Our Stories – Door Knocking and Neighbors Exchange

Posted by Neighborhood Opportunity Network on April 5, 2009

On Friday April 4, 2009, a group of committed volunteers, County and IMPACT Staff gathered in the basement of Mercy Seat Chapel to share stories and lessons learned from the first round of 500 door knocks and the Neighbors Exchange held on March 26. The stories are compelling and paint a picture of serious need, as well as considerable strength and hope. It is clear that substantial follow up is needed to keep engaging neighbors and overcoming the many barriers to accessing services and building circles of mutual support.  Please take a few minutes to listen to these stories.
