Last Tuesday we gathered for our property manager luncheon at our Impact Silver Spring office at Sligo. Ronnie Galvin, our Deputy Director at Impact Silver Spring, joined us and supported the mutual support between our resources partners and property managers.
We had three resources partners at this event: Jenny from Catholic Charities, Hugh Bailey from Montgomery Works and Andre from CASA of Maryland. Each of them had time to explain the great resources and opportunities property managers can transmit to their tenants.
A main concern for all property managers was finding maintenance engineer’s that were CFC certified.
Hugh mentioned that Montgomery College has an occupational skill training that offers National Apartment Association Certification and recruitment service training support for CFC certification.
Jobs were the main concern property managers had for their tenants and by using mutual support they found out many resources they have available.
Douglas, property manager at Falkland Chase Apartments, wanted to know where his tenants can go and search for jobs and use computers, workshops and information on how job announcements circulate.
We will have our next property managers luncheon next month, jobs will be our main objective once again in the agenda. This time the mutual support tool will no longer be new to our property managers and hope they will be the ones leading the group.
After reading this blog, what does mutual support mean to you?
